Services

What services do you offer?

End-to-end product design for SaaS and AI platforms — discovery, UX strategy, UI design, design systems, mobile and web interfaces, and prototyping. We also offer ongoing design retainers for teams that need senior design capacity without a full-time hire.

Who do you typically work with?

Early-stage startups validating a first product, Series A/B companies scaling their design function, and established teams that need senior support on specific initiatives. We've worked across SaaS, AI tooling, fintech, e-commerce, and consumer apps.

Who's behind JAG Studio?

JAG Studio is led by a senior product designer whose work has shaped platforms used by global brands including Balenciaga, Puma, H&M, Cartier and Lancôme. We stay deliberately small: every project gets senior hands-on design — no juniors, no account managers, no handoffs.

Do you handle development as well?

We focus exclusively on product design — that's where we deliver the most value. You'll receive production-ready Figma files, complete design systems, and detailed developer specs. If you need engineering, we can introduce you to trusted partners.

Can you work with our existing design system?

Yes. We're comfortable extending an existing system, auditing it for gaps, or building one from scratch. We work natively with Figma variables, tokens, and component libraries.

Design systems & AI

What does a design system engagement include?

A full engagement covers an audit of your current UI, token architecture (colour, typography, spacing and radii as Figma variables), a component library with variants and interaction states, light/dark theming, usage documentation, and an adoption plan built with your engineers. The goal is a system your team actually uses — not a Figma file that goes stale after launch.

Do you use AI in your design workflow?

Yes — deliberately and transparently. We use AI to accelerate research synthesis, explore more directions in less time, and prototype in working code when it validates ideas faster than static mockups. Every decision that reaches you is made by a senior designer; AI is production leverage, not creative direction. The result is senior-quality output at startup speed.

Can you design AI-powered products?

It's one of our specialities. We design conversational interfaces, copilots and agentic workflows — including the hard parts: streaming and loading states, citations and trust patterns, error recovery for non-deterministic output, and onboarding that teaches users what the AI can and can't do. Good AI UX is mostly about managing expectations, and that's a design problem.

How do you keep AI-assisted work original and on-brand?

Art direction stays human. We define the visual language, interaction principles and brand voice first, then use AI tooling to execute faster within those constraints — never to generate the direction itself. Combined with a proper design system, this keeps every screen consistent, distinctive and unmistakably yours.

Process & timelines

What's your design process?

Four phases: discover (business goals, user research, constraints), define (information architecture, flows, success metrics), design (wireframes through high-fidelity), and deliver (handoff, QA support, post-launch iteration). For retainers we work in weekly sprints with async-first communication.

How long does a typical project take?

A landing page: 1–2 weeks. A SaaS dashboard MVP: 4–6 weeks. A full product redesign: 8–12 weeks. Design system from scratch: 4–8 weeks depending on scope. Every quote includes a milestone breakdown so you know exactly what's happening when.

How do we collaborate during the project?

Async-first via Figma, Notion, and Slack or Loom. We schedule a weekly sync call (30 minutes) and provide a shared workspace for all artefacts. Most clients receive same-day responses during UK business hours.

How many revisions are included?

Two rounds of revisions per milestone are included in fixed-price projects. Retainer clients get unlimited iteration within the agreed sprint capacity. We'd rather get to the right answer than count rounds.

Pricing & engagement

How much do your services cost?

Project pricing starts at £4K for a landing page, £10K for a SaaS MVP, and £20K+ for full product redesigns. Monthly retainers start at £6K/month for ~40 design hours. After you submit a quote request we'll send a custom proposal within 48 hours — free, no commitment.

Do you bill fixed-price or hourly?

Fixed-price for defined scopes, monthly retainers for ongoing work. We don't bill hourly — clients prefer predictability over timesheets, and it keeps our incentives aligned on outcomes, not time spent.

What's the payment structure?

For fixed projects: 50% deposit to kick off, 50% on final delivery. Retainers are billed monthly in advance. We invoice in GBP, USD, or EUR and accept bank transfer or Wise.

Can we start with a small test project?

Absolutely. Many of our long-term clients started with a single screen, a design audit, or a landing page before committing to bigger work. It's a low-risk way to see how we collaborate.

Logistics & legal

Where are you based?

London, UK. We work remotely with clients across Europe and North America. Overlap with US East Coast is generally 1pm–6pm GMT; for West Coast we schedule sync calls in the late afternoon UK time.

Who owns the final designs?

You do. Full IP transfers to your company upon final payment — including source files, design systems, components, and any custom illustrations or assets we create.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes, happily. Send yours over before our intro call, or use ours if you don't have one. We treat every project as confidential by default.

What happens after the project ends?

You walk away with everything you need to ship and maintain the work. We offer post-launch support packages (bug fixes, small iterations) and many clients move into a lightweight retainer for ongoing polish and new features.

Didn't find your answer?

We'd rather talk it through. Book a 30-minute call or drop us a line.
